About

Behind the brand SALICULA stands Nika Vrbica, a native of Dubrovnik and a double master’s degree holder in fashion design and painting. Nika combines her formal education and artistic vision to create a brand that merges fashion, visual art, and sustainability. Since 2019, SALICULA has offered a unique approach to design, pushing the boundaries between these disciplines and crafting inspiring, eco-conscious collections.

Through our ready-to-wear mini collections, released several times a year, SALICULA incorporates elements of painting into garments, making each piece visually striking. These collections also serve as a platform to showcase the possibility of ordering personalized designs. The brand primarily focuses on custom-made creations and client-specific projects, working one-on-one to produce unique designs. This often involves collaborations with musicians and dancers, both in Croatia and internationally.

"Nika combines her formal education and artistic vision to create a brand that merges fashion, visual art, and sustainability."

In addition to fashion design, SALICULA has gained recognition in the visual arts scene. Nika simultaneously exhibits her paintings and art installations in renowned Zagreb galleries such as Galerija Forum, the Cultural Information Center (KiC), and HDLU. This creates a distinctive dialogue between fashion and visual art, while also educating and inspiring audiences about the importance of sustainability in contemporary life.

Every piece in the SALICULA collection is produced with respect for sustainability principles, using recycled or natural materials with a focus on quality and durability. The brand embraces the philosophy that fashion is not only a tool for personal expression but also a responsibility toward the environment.

Nika actively organizes fashion and art workshops emphasizing Slow Fashion, along with various events such as fashion shows, art colonies, and open lectures and workshops.
